JBL SP6CII Review

From JBL:
A pair of JBL® SP6CII in-ceiling loudspeakers offers any home true JBL-quality sound without taking up valuable floor or shelf space. The SP6CII’s 6-1/2-inch (165-millimeter) titanium-laminate, low-frequency woofer delivers exceptional bass, while a swivel-mounted, titanium-laminate tweeter produces accurate, clear high-frequency output. A proprietary waveguide and 80 watts of peak power handling ensure that the SP6CII distributes sound evenly and smoothly.

JBL SP6CII

JBL SP6CII review, while JBL has historically been a performance driven company, this family of “Sound Point” speakers is decidedly “promotional”.  Some clues are the words “laminate”, in which they label their drivers.  Titanium in it’s pure form is what took JBL to the level where they are and the pure titanium tweeters are terrific.  They are used widely amongst better speaker designs.  This speaker however is not one of them.  They still give ok value at the $130-$150 price range, but don’t confuse these with their better offerings.

Some owners of this products gave a JBL SP6CII Review:

They come close! I was in the market for quality in-celing speakers that wouldn’t break the bank. The newer JBL speakers are the way to go.

They have excellent sound for the money, and were very easy to install. would recommend for the budget minded audiophile looking for a good ceiling speaker.
